Nigeria, Treat Nigerians right

It is depressing to know that a Nigerian died outside this country and the Nigerian government did or said nothing about it. They haven’t bothered to acknowledge it. It is not just sad, it is disgusting. I lay in my bed all night thinking to myself “so if I was the man murdered, my government will tune deaf and act like nothing happened?” But what was I really expecting? That the Nigeria government will rise up and rebuke Italy for this act? Or will even say anything to the Italian government? I must be hilarious.

I was taught early in Life that “If you do not respect your own, no one will”. How can we get other countries to respect Nigerians when Nigeria doesn’t respect Nigerians? It is not happening. It never will happen. They see the way we treat ourselves like the country is a zoo, they watch the way they attend to Nigerians outside Nigerians, Even those on scholarship cannot get their fees paid by the government for whatever reasons they give (as in the case of Nigerian students in Britain). What does that say of Nigeria?
If one American or Britain citizen was killed in another country for whatever reason, we would not hear the last of it. The government would carry out investigations and raise hell on the matter. They value the lives of their own citizens above all else especially when they are outside their country.
This is why we keep emphasizing the need for Nigeria to use her head. We are the most populous black nation in the world. The Giant of Africa, The one supposed to take Africa to another level. These are the types of issues that Nigeria would be lending her voice to had she been strong enough when other African countries have similar situation. She would be like a Mother hen protecting her chicks (which in this case are other African countries). She would give them support and set a trend for other African countries and I am not just saying this because I am Nigerian. I see too much potential in Nigeria for her to be behaving like an overgrown baby. Our leaders need to grow up, rise up and take up the responsibility of moving this country forward. It is high time the Nigerian government treated the Nigerian citizens like they mattered because they really do.
I besiege The Nigerian government to indeed take up the mantle of leadership and lead us right and well. Enough of the fighting in the House of Representatives like Agberos (Park loaders). That is desecration of the House of Assembly and a Slap to the entire country and what we represent (It is not even like we represent anything) and actions should be taken against such law makers. We need to get serious with ourselves so that the world can take us seriously. Because whenever they see Nigerians, all they assume are a bunch of corrupt lots from a country where the government is the chief corruption officer. I bet they actually think that this is what is taught in Nigerian schools. We need to prove them wrong and show the world that we are not bound by the chains of stupidity.
Not just the government; you and I as citizens of the country. We all have a role to play and we must work together. Nigeria must be great whether our leaders like it or not.

Analyzing The Bad Nigerian Electoral System, Bad Mentality And Culture Of Nigerian's Who are meant To Be Change Agents. WHAT WE HAVE TO DO

For a pack of salt or a bag of rice, w e have sold ourselves as slaves to the political elite. They breed lies as promises and dole out small money, and we receive without questions, we eat and are satisfied and wait for the next campaign to eat some more. While they enrich themselves for four years, waiting for the next election to share some more salt. Election day, majority aren't excited to take power into their hands, they lie at home, scared for their lives. How did we get here? We've been robbed of our franchise. How did we get here? WE GOT OUR SELVES HERE The masses have preferred illiterates as leaders, with promise of free education for all, I've seen that education... It's all smokes and mirrors. Children come out of schools in droves, but an insignificant number of them are educated. To the masses, N10,000 can be seen as a satisfactory reward for four years of robbery, and a motorbike donation mak

The "African" Woman

By: Onyekachi Nwitte-Eze Liberating the African Woman: Breaking the Chains of Silence and Subjugation From the moment she takes her first breath, the African woman is enveloped in a society that dictates her worth solely based on her gender. Born into a world where patriarchal norms reign supreme, she is indoctrinated with the belief that her existence revolves around serving men and conforming to societal expectations of marriage and motherhood. In this narrative, her voice is stifled, her aspirations secondary, and her autonomy relegated to the shadows. The essence of womanhood for the African woman is often reduced to her ability to bear children, maintain a household, and secure a husband. Stripped of agency and silenced by societal pressures, she internalizes the notion that her identity is incomplete without fulfilling these prescribed roles. Consequently, the pursuit of marriage becomes her primary goal, overshadowing her individuality and relegating her to a position of sub

True Federalism in Nigeria: The Slogan is not the answer

I have been seeing too many posts on Federalism recently that honestly, I cannot keep up anymore. The funny part is they are all saying the same thing; How Nigeria needs to practice it and it being the way forward. It is hilarious you know.  There has been serious agitation for true Federalism which became essential for the birth of this post.  Before I forget, let me explain what Federalism is to everyone.  “Federalism is a system of government in which power is divided between the Central (The Federal government) and the Federating Units (Regional or States Government).” Let us take a look at the United States of America who is always cited as an example of true Federalism. The American states came together to create the Federal government whereas in Nigeria, the Federal Government created the states. The reason why Federalism is more successful in the United States would be that the state possesses power as the federal government even though the Federal Government became
